Date
The Course will start on Thursday, October 27, 2005 at 2.00
p.m. and will end on Saturday, October 29, 2005 in the afternoon.
Venue
Hotel de la Paix (4 stars)
Via Cattori, 18 - 6900 Lugano, Switzerland.
The hotel is situated at walking distance from the center
of Lugano and has a nice view of the beautiful lake and surrounding
mountains.

Cancellation
In case of cancellation, provided that written notice reaches
Fondazione Giovanni Lorenzini no later than September 15,
2005 the registration and hotel accommodation fee will be
refunded, less 60% administration charge.
Regretfully written cancellations received after September
15, 2005 will not entitle the registrant to any refund; however,
these registrants will receive their Course material by mail
after the meeting. Refunds will be made after the Course.
Official
Language
The official language of the Course will be English; no simultaneous
translation will be provided.
Certificate
of Attendance
Certificate of Attendance will be given to the participants
attending all the sessions of the Course.

Registration and hotel accommodation (full board) fee includes:
• participation in the Course
• scientific documentation
• lunches (Friday and Saturday)
• coffee breaks
• dinners (Thursday, Friday and Saturday)
• three nights accommodation in a room in single use
at the Hotel de la Paix or in nearby hotels (4 stars) - Thursday,
Friday, and Saturday nights on a first come - first served
basis.
The reservation of the room will be done by Fondazione Giovanni

CME
Credits
CME Credits for the International Course will be requested
from EACCME (Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical
Education) for European and US participants, and from the
Italian Ministry of Health for Italian participants. Detailed
information will be given at the Course.
Posters
A limited number of posters on topics of specific interest
will be accepted. Interested participants must contact the
Scientific and Organizing Secretariat for further information,
by September 15, 2005.

Scope
of the Course
To verify and endorse the knowledge of and the experience in the
combined use of the predictive value of integrated biochemical and
bioimaging markers in the clinical decision making and in drug development
in the cardiocerebrovascular diseases.
Target Audience
Researchers, physicians, regulatory affairs officers, and scientists
from imaging, diagnostic and pharmaceutical industries, who are
interested in the use of integrated biomarkers to support decision-making
and to improve patient assessment.
Participants in the Course
It is expected an international attendance of 150 participants.
In the workshops the attendees will be divided into two groups to
facilitate more interactive discussion.
